Amirah Adara Talks Roots, Ambition and the American Dream

Amirah Adara Talks Roots, Ambition and the American Dream

This feature article appears in the November 2026 issue of X3 magazine, published by XBIZ Media.

Amirah Adara may be new to college football, but she's no stranger to scoring big.

Fresh from attending her first Trojans game, the Budapest native shows off her newfound team spirit in a black USC tank top as she settles in at Sana’a Cafe in Los Angeles. It’s a taste of American life she’ll have more opportunities to enjoy with her work visa secured and a bevy of stateside projects ahead.

"I can shoot here or overseas now, which is nice because I like variety," Adara says. "This business always brings new faces, new companies, and new adventures."

That appetite for new experiences has guided her through more than a decade in adult entertainment. After winning Female Performer of the Year at the inaugural Euro XMAs in Berlin in 2018, she took a five-year break from boy-girl scenes to explore other aspects of production and deepen her understanding of the business.

"I like to explore everything," she says. "It keeps me entertained."

Since returning to boy-girl work two years ago, Adara has filled her schedule with feature roles, new collaborations and familiar faces.

A lead role in Danny D's Digital Playground feature "Clash of the Vikings" gave her a chance to flex her acting skills and add another Euro XMA trophy to her shelf. More recently, she teamed up with Miss Lexa and Mick Blue for a Brazzers scene expected to debut before the end of the year and joined Riley Reid and Clémence Audiard in an upcoming Dorcel movie. She also reunited with Mike Quasar, a director she first worked with early in her career.

Next on her L.A. itinerary is a collaboration with Kendra Cole and Brad Newman, while her wish list for future shoots includes another Dorcel project with director Ricky Greenwood.

"The last two years have been pretty intense because all of a sudden, I was everywhere, traveling all over. But I love doing this," she says.

Taking Center Stage

Adara's latest challenge put her in front of plenty of familiar faces, with no second takes. Co-hosting the 2026 Euro XMAs alongside friend and fellow performer Ella Hughes meant trading the relative comfort of a film set for a stage overlooking a room full of industry peers.

"I was afraid because I'm not great on stage when I have to speak in front of a lot of people I know," she admits.

Having Hughes by her side eased those nerves, as the two rehearsed extensively and even helped shape the script until they found their rhythm. Reading the teleprompter, however, proved trickier: Both hosts wear glasses, and even a larger font left them struggling to make out their lines.

Still, the response left Adara with plenty to smile about.

“I was really happy with how it went, and after it was over, everybody told us we rocked it, so it sounded like everyone had a good time," she says.

Hosting also offered a fresh perspective on a celebration that holds special meaning for her. Eight years after her own career-defining win, Adara was helping guide a new group of winners through their big night.

"I was so proud that night, and I'm still really proud of it," she says.

Adara sees practical value in that recognition, particularly for newcomers who may find that an award leads to more bookings and higher rates. As her own career has matured, the trophies have taken on a more personal meaning as acknowledgments of her work.

"I don't need anyone else's validation, but I'm really happy when I get it, so awards still matter, and I love receiving them," she says.

Her competitive streak centers on her own progress, with new goals giving her something to work toward and fans giving her plenty of reasons to keep going.

"I always want to do more," she says. "Without my fans, I'm nothing."

The Art of Self-Love

On the night of the Euro XMAs, Adara commanded the stage in a sparkling, form-fitting gown, playfully twirling her high ponytail as she guided the evening's festivities with poise and humor. While the confidence she radiated that evening may have looked effortless, it was something she spent years learning to embrace.

When she entered the industry, Adara was self-conscious about her nose, a feature others had teased her about growing up. Her first agent even suggested spending her first paycheck on a nose job.

Adara declined.

As her career progressed, the compliments began to outweigh the criticism. People in the industry admired the very feature she once wished she could change, helping her see it differently.

"It's unique, and something that makes me different from other girls,” she says. "This industry has given me a lot of self-confidence and taught me a lot about myself and my sexuality."

For her recent cover shoot in a downtown Los Angeles studio, Adara brought that confidence into sharp focus with a pantsuit, bold red accents and an attitude to match. The concept was her own, chosen to reflect the woman she has become.

"I believe only a really confident woman can wear a man's suit in a sexy and elegant way,” she says. "We women rule the whole world, and with this photoshoot, I think we proved it."

As Adara has grown more comfortable in her own skin, she's also gained a clearer understanding of her desires and boundaries.

"When you're young, you don't really know about your body — what you enjoy and what you don't," she explains.

Trust is central to her recent VR work with longtime friend Tristan Seagal, and it's also a priority as she considers exploring BDSM further. She's been in discussions with Kink.com about a potential scene, though finding a partner she feels comfortable taking that step with remains a key consideration.

"I feel like I'm into it, but I don't know who to do it with," she says.

Showing the Ropes

Having grown more confident in her own choices since joining the industry over a decade ago, Adara now wants to help newcomers find their footing. Early in her career, she looked up to other performers but had few experienced colleagues she could turn to for guidance.

Today, she welcomes the chance to pass her hard-earned knowledge on to other performers.

"I tell them to try new things, because you don't know if you like something unless you try it," she affirms. "If you want to do what you enjoy, you have to know what you like and what you don't.”

For Adara, that curiosity comes with a condition: Exploring an interest should always be a personal choice.

"If you don't like doing something, don't do it, because it's not going to be good for you, your partner, the scene, the company, or the viewer at home," she says. "But try it first — if you want to, of course. Otherwise, you'll never know."

Beyond the set, she encourages newcomers to learn to manage their money and weigh opportunities against their long-term goals. Choosing representation is another part of that education, one she navigated through trial and error.

Her experience with her first agent helped clarify what she needed from the people representing her. Those early missteps now inform the guidance she offers others, encouraging them to learn from difficult experiences and use that knowledge to make better decisions for themselves.

That willingness to help extends to her broader circle of friends and industry colleagues.

"I'm like a little mama," she says. "If something happens, they call me and ask for help, and I'm happy to offer my advice."

That nurturing side has started to show up in her work, too. Recently, Adara has taken on MILF and stepmom roles, enjoying the chance to explore characters whose maternal instincts feel familiar, even as the roles mark a new direction in her career.

A Perfect Pairing

Wherever Adara goes, her husband, Amir, is likely nearby. From shoots to industry events and awards shows, the two are a familiar pair, continuing a partnership that began on a film set when Adara was 18.

At the time, she was shooting her second scene while Amir already had years of experience as a performer under his belt. Despite being at different stages of their careers, they found common ground and built a friendship that blossomed into romance years later. In 2020, they made it official and married.

Today, they share their Budapest home with a cat and a dog, and their working relationship continues behind the camera. Amir has retired from performing but helps Adara shoot her independent content. Her ambitions also extend to directing and producing, with Amir involved in the shoots she has begun overseeing for Nubile Films in Hungary.

“I love studio work, and back in the day, I took everything I could get," she says. "But I know I can't rely on that exclusively, so I also really enjoy doing everything myself on other platforms."

Independent content now accounts for roughly 70% of her workload, with studio bookings making up the remaining 30%. Having a trusted partner behind the camera lets her create without assembling a crew for every shoot, but there's still plenty to manage beyond performing.

From planning shoots and learning how different platforms operate to keeping up with subscribers, running her own content business demands her attention even between shoots. While she and Amir handle that side of the business, Brillbabes in Europe and Mark at ATMLA help keep her studio calendar moving on both continents.

"It's a lot of work, and I've had to get used to that," she says.

Her entrepreneurial ambitions have also led her and Amir to try their luck outside adult entertainment, though the timing proved challenging.

"We had a taxi company. We had a restaurant. But nothing worked really well because we were doing it during COVID," she says.

Adara is also exploring what life beyond the industry might hold someday. One possibility would take her back to university to study psychology, with the goal of becoming a psychologist. The demands of the program give her pause, especially with her already busy schedule, but she hasn't ruled it out.

"I'm getting older, but I know it's never too late," she says.

Talk Dirty to Me

Adara has long wanted to host a podcast. Asking questions and discovering what makes people tick comes naturally to her, but with seemingly everyone launching a show, she wondered whether there was room for one more.

Then a scene gave her a chance to test her interviewing skills.

Cast as a podcaster, Adara prepared enough questions to fill a 10- to 15-minute conversation with her co-star. Once they started talking, however, she found plenty more to ask. Around the 20-minute mark, Amir reminded them that they still had a sex scene to shoot.

The conversation ultimately stretched to 40 minutes, leaving Adara with enough material for a separate online release and an idea worth pursuing.

She has since set up a podcast studio and brought in a friend with podcasting experience to help. The resulting project, "Amirah's Pod-Casting," debuted with an episode featuring Jason Carrera.

And while her curiosity drives the conversation, the show "always ends with sex," she promises.

The podcast is one of several projects giving Adara more room to develop her own ideas. She is also planning a studio in Budapest, along with a website to host the content produced there.

"We have a space where we can create some really cool stuff," she says.

Making Each Day Count

Adara's approach to life is reflected in the tattoos that decorate her body, a collection commemorating relationships, experiences and personal milestones. One reads "Make Each Day Count," a line spoken by Leonardo DiCaprio's character in "Titanic," a favorite film whose message about embracing life stayed with her long after its tale of romance and tragedy.

"I've always remembered that line because it's how I try to live my life," she says. "Every day matters, so try to enjoy it."

Her relationship with Amir has inspired several additions to that collection as well. For their first tattoos as a couple, they each had the other's name written in Arabic. Adara's wedding ring has also been immortalized in ink. After someone stole the original ring from a sauna in Barcelona, she decided to tattoo a ring on her finger alongside their wedding date.

The words "Saint" and "Sinner" adorn her feet, while another tattoo reads "Moyocoyotzin," a term from Nahuatl, the language of the Aztecs, that she describes as meaning "She Who Creates Herself." The sentiment reflects her pride in being self-made and her belief that people can shape their identity through their decisions and experiences.

For Adara, the collection is a deeply personal record of the people, experiences and choices that have shaped her, with each tattoo holding a story she's happy to carry with her.

"Each one represents someone or something different," she says.

There are still plenty of experiences she hopes to add to that story, and she has big plans for her time stateside. A U.S. showcase is high on her wish list, and she has already pitched the idea to her agent. Between that project, the podcast, and her Budapest production plans, Adara has plenty of opportunities to put her creative ambitions into action.

Away from the set, she and Amir are hoping to trade their Budapest apartment for a house outside the city. At the top of her wish list is a garden, which she calls "a personal dream of mine."

They have been searching for years, but finding the right property takes time their busy schedules don't always allow. And when they finally have a free evening, settling onto the couch with Netflix and takeout often sounds better than heading out for another viewing.

For Adara, the goal is a home where they can put down lasting roots. Starting a family with Amir is another possibility, though she feels no need to rush either milestone.

"One day in the future, I hope," she says.

Everywhere Adara goes, she carries her past with her. The lessons, friendships, awards, mistakes and memories are all part of her as she moves into a new chapter. And if her collection of tattoos is any indication, she intends to make each day worth remembering, and every addition worth the ink.

The words on her elbow offer a fitting motto for that next chapter: "No Regrets." It captures how she feels about her career and the chances she's taken along the way.

“If I'd done anything differently, I wouldn't be who I am now or where I am now," she concludes.
