110 Media Group Acquires CD-Media.net

MELVILLE, N.Y. — The 110 Media Group Inc. said it acquired adult content distributor CD-Media.net to bolster claims as one of the largest discount content suppliers on the Internet.

CD-Media.net has been operating since 1999 and owns more than 14,000 images and hundreds of video clips that it licenses to thousands of online adult websites.

Melville, N.Y.-based 110 Media plans to have the entire site revamped and integrated with additional exclusive content available in place by the end of September.

"Although currently open for business and generating revenue successfully, there is much more available that is not currently on the site,” 110 Media CEO Ray Barton told XBiz. “That is what really excites me about the purchase.”

Publicly held 110 Media, formerly known as Dominix Inc., also owns Jade Entertainment Group Inc., which hosts AskJade.com, a specialty search engine for the adult entertainment industry. It also offers content, including Brazilian-based video content and DVDs.

Jade Entertainment also produces Redfire Video DVDs, available at RedFireVideo.com. The company said in April that it plans 50 releases a year.

In July, 110 Media Group announced it would handle online efforts for Toronto-based NWWL Productions Inc.’s Carmen Electra's Naked Women's Wrestling League venture, which is shaping up for its September debut.
