FSC Launches 'Speak Out' Media Campaign for Creators

LOS ANGELES — The Free Speech Coalition (FSC) has announced the launch of FSC Speak Out, a media campaign for content creators to tell their stories.

The announcement follows:

For years, public conversations about the adult industry have been shaped by politicians, advocacy groups, news headlines, and people who have never done the work themselves. The voices of performers are often missing from the discussion, even when the policies being debated directly affect their lives.

FSC Speak Out, a media campaign from the Free Speech Coalition in partnership with EPA United, aims to change that by creating space for performers to speak for themselves.

The project began with interviews featuring 22 creators from across the industry. They shared how they entered the work, what their jobs actually involve, the opportunities they have found through the industry, and the challenges they face navigating stigma both online and offline. Their stories offer a perspective that is often absent from public debates about pornography and sex work.

At a time when legal and political attacks on sex work continue to increase, those perspectives matter. Stigma is not an abstract concept. It is actively affecting access to housing, healthcare, banking services, legal protections, and online platforms, making workers more vulnerable and isolated. Changing the conversation is not simply about improving public perception; it is about creating a better understanding of the people whose lives are affected by these policies and cultural attitudes every day.

The Free Speech Coalition can advocate in legislatures and courtrooms, but cultural change happens when people are given the opportunity to share their own experiences. FSC Speak Out is built on that idea: that the people closest to the work should have the chance to define it in their own words.

What to expect

Throughout the summer, we will be sharing short videos, interviews, and creator-led content across platforms. These stories will cover themes like daily life, personal growth, safety, misconceptions, and the impact of ongoing attacks on the industry.

Just as important, we will be amplifying videos from creators across the country who are joining the campaign and telling their own stories in their own words.

Join the campaign: fight back by speaking out!

Make a short video, around a minute, about something meaningful to you. That could be:

  • The Biggest Myth About Adult Work
  • What I Love About This Work
  • A Day in My Life as a Creator
  • What Being a Creator Has Taught Me
  • My Proudest Moment as a Creator
  • What I’ve Been Able to Achieve
  • How Attacks on My Industry Hurt Me

Or anything else that feels true to your experience.

When you’re ready:

Post your video on Instagram, X, or Bluesky. Use the hashtag #FSCSpeakOut and tag us!

Share this campaign and invite another creator to participate.

We’ll be sharing and reposting videos throughout the summer, helping to amplify the true story of our work and yours!
