LOS ANGELES — Vaniall recently sat down for an interview with Carly David about paywalls and the creator economy.
In the article, Vaniall discusses "platform control, creator visibility, and what it takes to build and sustain an audience online, as well as how today’s creator economy has shifted from early direct-to-consumer hustles to a market increasingly shaped by algorithms and paid reach," said a rep.
Vaniall shared her expertise with David's audience.
"It very much has become a pay-to-play market with sites like Twitter and Instagram," she said, adding that those sites will "accept you to a degree, but [make you] pay for people to actually see your stuff."
"I was the one putting all of my stuff on the tube sites in full form, just to make sure that people would be able to see it and experience it," added Vaniall. "I didn’t make it just for me; I made it to be experienced. [But] I had to realize that I have to protect my art to protect my ability to make a living from it."
