MELBOURNE, Australia — Sexpo Australia founder David Ross has launched his new adult lifestyle expo, SexEx.
The new event will take place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC), February 6–8, 2026, with a second edition of the expo to be held in Sydney later that year.
“While I expected the public would be happy to embrace a new name, I was less sure how exhibitors and potential investors would feel about a new event after so many were left out of pocket as a result of Sexpo’s collapse,” said Ross. “I need not have worried, as exhibitor demand has exceeded the space available at the Melbourne Pavilion, and after having secured a further AUD600k funding — valuing the SexEx startup at AUD750k — we have moved the event to the larger MCEC venue.”
According to Ross, exhibitors who paid a deposit for Sexpo and can't make the dates for the new SexEx event are eligible for a full refund.
“Exhibitors and visitors can be sure that my years of experience running the Sexpo events will see me produce SexEx in the same manner I did when up to 68,000 people flocked to the MCEC to see all the entertainment, as well as exhibitors demonstrating the latest products and services,” said Ross.
