MojoHost Reaffirms Commitment to Adult Industry Amid Project 2025 Implications

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. — In the wake of Tuesday’s election and concerns about Project 2025’s potential ramifications, MojoHost President Brad Mitchell has released a statement affirming its commitment to the adult industry.

The statement follows:

Dear MojoHost Community,

I know that many of you are closely following discussions around Project 2025 and the potential implications of its principles on our industry. Understandably, questions and concerns are surfacing, particularly as we look toward a political landscape that could shift significantly with the 2024 elections now complete. I want to take a moment to address these concerns and reaffirm MojoHost's unwavering support and commitment to your businesses.

First and foremost, I want to assure you that MojoHost remains steadfast in our dedication to supporting adult entertainment companies and protecting the principles of free expression. We recognize the challenges that can arise with evolving legislation and have seen recent movements, like state-level age verification mandates, that directly impact our space. MojoHost has taken an active role in these issues, supporting organizations like the Woodhull Freedom Foundation (Woodhull), the Free Speech Coalition (FSC), and the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP). More recently, MojoHost made the decision to contribute independently to additional legal efforts, including the ongoing Texas age verification battle that’s heading to the Supreme Court. MojoHost is very proud of making the financial commitment necessary for Woodhull to be able to fight Texas' unconstitutional HB 1181. You can read more about our effort on XBIZ here.

While it is impossible to predict every outcome, we are confident that a full ban on adult content is unlikely to succeed. We continue to operate on this basis and, should legislative or executive action threaten the industry’s right to exist and serve its audiences, MojoHost stands prepared to maintain its role as a vigilant advocate. We are ready to challenge such decisions at the highest levels, if necessary.

MojoHost's counsel, adult industry attorney Corey D. Silverstein, was given a mandate to ensure that MojoHost's customers' First Amendment rights are always protected as a first priority. He has the following to say on the subject:

"The results of the 2024 US Election has justifiably created a tremendous amount of stress and angst in the adult entertainment industry. I cannot emphasize enough to the adult community that now is not the time to be making rash or emotional decisions. Rather, now is the time for dialogue and strategic planning. I will be holding a special Post-Election Legal Impact Webinar on November 12th at 4:00 p.m. (sponsored by Sssh.com) to discuss and strategize for the community’s future. I have had the honor and privilege of serving as legal counsel to MojoHost since 2006. During these 18 years, MojoHost has dedicated an unquantifiable amount of resources to legal compliance, strategy, and lobbying. MojoHost's primary goal is to provide safe and secure internet hosting services, free from government discrimination against the adult entertainment industry. This mission will continue regardless of where the current and future political climate goes."

In my view, there is no safer or more dedicated service provider than MojoHost for weathering the future together. I am fully invested in this mission and committed to defending our industry and your right to do business freely. We will navigate any challenges with strength and resilience, staying true to our shared values.

To those of you who may currently be hosting with publicly traded companies, smaller providers lacking the financial or legal fortitude to withstand such industry challenges, or companies that are doing nothing to support our industry publicly or privately, I strongly encourage you to reconsider your choice. The legal landscape is actively changing, with multiple pieces of legislation introduced across the country that not only fail to achieve their claimed goals of child protection but also infringe upon fundamental rights of free speech and privacy. Now is a critical time to partner with a host that is both prepared and deeply committed to standing up for this industry’s rights and future.

If you’d like to discuss this topic further, please reach out to me directly anytime. We are here for you now, and we’ll be here for you in the future, no matter what lies ahead.
