Velvet VR Launches New Investment Round for Immersive Adult Tech

HENDERSON, Nev. — Adult virtual reality tech startup Velvet VR has launched a new investment round.

According to a rep, the company plans to develop an immersive and interactive experience simulating real-time interaction, with increased resolution and fully immersive 360-degree live VR streaming.

“Users will be able to enter a room with a performer and move around, interacting in a completely safe environment,” the rep explained.

The new investment round aims to raise $8 million, at a $40 million post-money valuation. The funds will be allocated to building a live cam studio utilizing patented technology, and creating a marketing campaign to expand the customer base.

According to the company, its VR technology “is already 60-to-70% developed. The company proudly holds five approved patents for its exclusive technology, with more on the way.”

The rep noted that Velvet VR’s studio in Henderson, Nevada will be equipped with fiber-optic trunks.

Touting the potential of its technology, the company stated that it aims to assume a leading position “in a market poised for widespread adoption with the introduction of devices like Apple Vision Pro."
