'Cam_Girlfriend' Named Official Selection of Stareable Fest

LOS ANGELES — “Cam_Girlfriend,” a comic web series that follows the misadventures of a Chaturbate broadcaster, portrayed by Lily LaBeau, has been named an official selection of Stareable Fest, running Oct. 28-30.

“Cam_Girlfriend” was created by Ethan Cole, written by Cole and Michael Goldlist and directed by Daniel AM Rosenberg. The web series, which received support from Canada’s Independent Production Fund, depicts life as a camgirl in a humorous, tongue-in-cheek way. The producers are Goldlist, Rosenberg and Jason Kennedy.

“We are honored and humbled that our 10-episode comedy series continues to get attention worldwide,” said Rosenberg. “There was a lot of hard work and love put into this by everyone involved, and to have that appreciated by so many is a wonderful feeling.”

In May, Rosenberg earned "Best Directing — Comedy" honors from the 12th annual Indie Series Awards.

The series also won the "Webseries Canada Spotlight" award at the eighth annual T.O. WebFest last summer; read XBIZ's coverage of "Cam_Girlfriend" here.
