FSC: Identity Theft Targeting Adult Performers

LOS ANGELES — The Free Speech Coalition has issued an alert warning of an individual found to be targeting adult performers for identity theft.

The alert follows:

What Happened

FSC has been notified that an individual arrested in Southern California was found to be carrying a list containing the personal information (including Social Security and bank account numbers) of hundreds of adult stars. The City of Orange Police Department is in the process of notifying the people included in the list.

What to Do

If you've been the victim of identity theft or suspect that you may have been, start by placing fraud alerts and a security freeze on your credit reports. Just contact one of the three nationwide credit reporting agencies:
