LewdTube to Launch Resources for Adult Virtual Cam Models

LOS ANGELES — The creators of LewdTube, a directory of virtual webcam models, have announced plans to offer virtual performers access to both hardware and software designed in-house, noted a rep, for "the specific purpose of enhancing and simplifying the virtual broadcasting process for adult creators."

LewdTube's creators identified a trend over the past year in virtual cam performers, or "v-tubers," and enlisted the developers behind Vex Ruby, described as "the world's most advanced virtual webcam model," and CGI adult production company ViRo Playspace to create "avatar performance software made specifically for v-tubers and avatar-based webcam models," a rep said.

V-tubers are "performers who broadcast as virtual avatars in live, motion-tracked performances," continued the rep. "The viewing experience is similar to watching an interactive video game character in real time, as the broadcaster’s movement and facial expressions are mapped to the 3D avatar onscreen."

Besides the software, LewdTube is also offering the "Vex Helmet," a helmet with a phone mount that was designed to "assist the face capture process to track a performer's facial expressions," the rep added. "The helmet is designed to be easier to use and more comfortable to wear for long periods of time compared to other similar options on the market."

LewdTube developers are now accepting applications for their first round of beta testers.

“We've created the fastest and easiest way to find new avatar-based adult cam models and see who is online right now," the rep declared. "Our directory is community-driven and we allow fans and models to add new performers. We support models from Chaturbate and most other adult cam model sites."

"Our next step will be to offer all virtual broadcasters access to LewdTube Studio, an app that makes it easier to livestream and allows performers to interact haptically with their fans," they continued.
