German Menstrual Products Company Releases 'One Girl, One Cup' Campaign on Pornhub

BERLIN — The Female Company, a German company specializing in sustainable and natural menstruation products for women, has released three tutorial videos about their menstrual cups on Pornhub, as part of their "One Girl, One Cup" campaign.

“For the last couple of months we've constantly been asked by our community: How do you use a menstrual cup?” said a rep. “Is there no tutorial? Oh yes, there is! But there's no way to explain how to use the cup without showing it. Whoever does that on social media gets censored. Why? Because there’s no distinction between pornographic content and education. To break the taboo around menstrual education, we created the first explicit tutorial ever. And as we can’t show it on Instagram, we chose to show it on Pornhub.”

The company explained that since “Pornhub is currently being criticized for missing age restrictions, we are bringing educational content to the platform because we believe that the one thing that should be freely accessible is education.”

The Female Company, founded by entrepreneurs Ann-Sophie Claus and Sinja Stadelmaier under the motto “by women for women,” described a dual mission of producing organic period products and breaking taboos.

“We break taboos around women's bodies,” the rep said, “starting with periods. And by delivering sustainable and natural period products directly to her door and donating products to women in need.”

The menstrual cups promoted by the Pornhub tutorial are, according to the company, made of 100% medical silicone in Germany, with no chemicals, softeners, latex, proteins, bleach, phthalates, alkylphenols, PVC or BPA.

“With every purchase, we donate pads to women in India and you receive an additional 'One Girl One Cup Limited Edition Box' for free,” the rep added.

The “One Girl, One Cup” videos feature performer Lina Bembe.

“Lina explains everything you need to know about the cup in three explicit tutorials,” added the rep. “From various folding techniques to the best positions to insert and remove the cup as well as proper cleaning. Lina is an actress, TEDx speaker and feminist porn performer and is actively supporting education around sex. No shame. No embarrassment. No censorship.”
