XBIZ 2020 to Focus on Virtual Reality Content, Monetization

LOS ANGELES — Noted virtual reality content director Anna Lee and VR porn pioneer Ela Darling are set to headline a series of discussions about this maturing technology at the XBIZ Show in L.A.

The duo, along with cinematographer and director Alex Ladd will discuss adult VR content from 4-4:50 p.m. this afternoon in Studio 3 at the XBIZ Show’s Andaz hotel.

The team will discuss “Virtual Vibrancy: Elevating VR Content Through Intimacy and Immersion,” and will explore the process of creating intimate, immersive VR scenes, through the lens of these three pioneers — highlighting their mistakes along the way, and their triumphs as they bring to fruition their vision of the future of adult VR.

The session will touch on the project that brought the three speakers together: “The Black Box Collection: Season 1,” an unscripted ASMR series of solo scenes specifically shot in a way that viewers of all genders can enjoy the experience. Darling’s scene in the series netted a nomination for Best VR Sex Scene at the 2020 XBIZ Awards — the first nomination for Lee’s company, 2049 Entertainment, which produced the series.

Darling will continue to discuss the future of VR porn and sextech through the lens of her work with ViRo Club, an adult VR app on Steam, in a session to be held from 1-1:50 p.m. in Studio 2, Thursday, January 16. Darling will appear along with session host and attorney Maxine Lynn; plus, VR Bangers’ Daniel Abramovich; and Wasteland’s Colin Rowntree, for “Porn & Pleasure Products: A Money-Making Merger in Sextech.
