BROOMFIELD, Colo. — Eldorado Trading has invited trans activist and performer Buck Angel to host a special edition of its educational series “Eldorado Presents,” focusing on body-positivity and acceptance.
The Facebook Live event is set to take place May 2 at 12 p.m. (PST) and will discuss “the power of making peace with your body” as part of sexual health and wellness practices.
“Buck’s message of empowerment through self-acceptance and encouragement of everyone to be comfortable in their own skin has struck a passionate chord with people around the world,” said a company rep. “As demonstrated in recent appearances at Yale, Cornell and many other universities and events, Buck inspires people to think outside the box and is educating an entire generation on the fluidity of sexuality and identity politics.”
Angel will also be attending the May Eldorado Elevation trade show at the Eldorado corporate office and warehouse. The private, triannual event brings together manufacturers and retailers throughout the industry for three days of sexual health and wellness education, product training and networking.
Patrick Lyons, Eldorado’s director of marketing, said that he is excited to be working with Angel on a number of projects in 2019. “Buck’s work in the trans community is legendary and his enthusiasm is contagious. We expect our guests should enjoy a very engaging presentation.”
