MELBOURNE — Adultex, Australia’s leading adult B2B trade exhibition, concluded this past Wednesday and has announced the winners of the 2019 Adultex Awards.
The 15th annual convention sponsored by Pipedream and Calexotics welcomed leading pleasure product and intimate apparel manufacturers for three days of showcasing their latest and most innovative products at the Palazzo Versace Hotel on the Gold Coast.
This year’s expo attracted 33 exhibitors and hosted over 170 guests. Organizers stated that they were “thrilled” with the turnout, thanking Calvista's exclusive partners, Intimate Earth, Nexus, Pornhub and Eros for their support.
“ADULTEX continues to be the premier adult tradeshow in the southern hemisphere and we look forward to hosting our 16th Adultex,” said Roger Sheldon-Collins, GM of Calvista.
According to a company rep, “This years' focus was to educate key retail partners on the five pillars that makes for a successful business.” Keynote presentations on retail marketing and social media, merchandising, product quality, sales and the art customer engagement were held over the course of the expo, along with a special presentation from Frank Kok, Sales Director of Kiiroo, who discussed emerging markets of the industry.
Adultex kicked off on Monday with its “Welcome Party,” sponsored by Calexotics’ new range of California Dreaming vibrators and concluded on Wednesday evening with its annual award show. This year’s Hollywood-themed event was sponsored by Pipedream and featured a live band as well as professional casino tables for guests to enjoy.
Paul Whyte from Gel Works was honored with this year’s prestigious “Service to the Industry” award for his over 30 years as a leading innovator of lubricants and his contributions to HIV/AIDS and sexual wellness research.
