Columbus Settles Suit Waged by Women Arrested With Stormy Daniels

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus City Council approved this week a $150,000 settlement stemming from a federal lawsuit filed by two women arrested along with adult superstar Stormy Daniels at the Sirens strip club in July.

Miranda Panda and Brittany Walters claimed they suffered emotional distress when they were arrested in what they say was a politically motivated sting operation by the city’s vice unit.

Both worked at Sirens; Daniels was booked there for a feature-dancing performance.

The summertime arrest of Daniels brought national attention to Columbus.

At the time, Daniels said Donald Trump paid her to keep secret an affair between them before the November 2016 election.

Daniels, Panda and Walters all alleged their arrest was in retaliation for Daniels' comments.

Columbus’ city attorney dropped the charges against Panda and Walters a week later, and later dropped the charges against Daniels.

Daniels, who was host of the recent 2019 XBIZ Awards, filed her own suit against the city of Columbus this month.

In the separate claim, Daniels is seeking $2 million from the city over her arrest.
