The Best Adult Awards Open for Entries

MONTREAL — Online companies can submit entries for the 3rd Annual Best Adult Awards until July 20. Submissions will be taken in 16 categories, covering the broad spectrum of adult online businesses.

Companies can submit their entries for websites and online personalities at the Awards website. Nominees will be announced on July 27.

Lightspeed Bob of LightspeedCash.com will announce the winners at the Qwebec Expo Webmasters event on Aug. 25, during the awards ceremony.

According to The Best Adult Awards’ Michael P., 60 entries have been received so far, with less than a month left for companies to submit their websites.

“In the first year, we realized that people were pretty shy to submit their own websites. They were waiting for someone else to say, ‘Oh, that’s a very nice site, so I should submit it to the Best Adult Awards,’” Michael P. said. “Actually, what we’re asking for is for you guys, if you have a cash program — say you have 65 or 70 sites that you’re running — enter each and every of your best sites in the appropriate categories. If all the programs do that, we’ll have way more websites in the database.”

Judging criteria are based on site design, navigation, content quality, amount of content, unique content, updates, downloadable video and extra features like bonus sites, feeds and customer service. Points are deducted for excessive pop-ups and nonfunctional links.

“We need to get the word out and they still have a month to get their website inside the database. Any cash-program staff or owner can go to the website and it might take a half hour to submit nine or 10 sites — however many sites, as long as they belong in that category,” Michael P. said. “It’s like the lottery, the first thing that the winners do is buy a ticket.”
