'Underbelly: Beneath the World of Porn,' Set to Debut Aug. 14

LOS ANGELES — Girls & Corpses magazine founder Robert “Corpsy” Rhine has announced next week’s debut of “Underbelly: Beneath the World of Porn,” a revealing documentary about the world of adult entertainment.

The title is set for release Tuesday, Aug. 14, on DVD and streaming.

The film, presented by Girls & Corpses and Playtime 4 You, features stark comments, quips and in-depth interviews featuring leading performers including Nina Elle, Sunny Lane, Casey Calvert, Celeste Star, Romance, Nikki Jackson, Lily Lane, Leigh Raven, Alena Croft, Darcie Dolce, Alexis Adams, Katie Morgan, Amber Ivy, Ginger Banks, Rae Riley, Gia Page, Cali Carter, Mia Malkova, Abigail Mac, Jenna Sativa, Jojo Kiss, Alexxx Coal and more.

According to its producers, “Underbelly” explores the motivations, success stories and challenges of the women who seek fame and fortune by exposing themselves inside the world of pornography, camming, stripping and ‘B’ horror movies in the name of fame, fans and fortune.

For director and producer Rhine, who created the movie with executive producer Paul Fink, “Underbelly” paints a true-life picture of a world that has been exiled by society at large, yet consumed by millions in the privacy of their bedrooms.

“Love it or hate it, pornography is a regular part of our daily lives and isn’t going anywhere,” Rhine reveals, “so I wanted to show in this documentary what’s really going on when young women venture into adult film and webcamming, and the impact it has on their lives and ours as well.”

“We learn their stories of success, failure and stardom,” Rhine adds. “These are women who love what they do, but also experience the highs and lows of a challenging and extremely competitive and often highly profitable business.”

“Underbelly: Beneath the World of Porn” has been picked up for distribution by MVD Entertainment. The DVD is available for pre-order at selected retailers, including Amazon, Best Buy, Movies Unlimited, CC Video and WalMart.com and the trailer is up now at YouTube.com.
