NEW YORK — Traffic to xHamster surged during last night’s Stormy Daniels “60 Minutes interview, as users turned to the site looking for information on the adult performer who alleged an affair with President Trump.
According to xHamster:
- Traffic was most dramatic from servers in Washington, D.C., where traffic spiked 7 percent during the interview, and grew as much as 10 percent after;
- Nationwide, traffic was up as much as 5 percent nationally — a number that may underestimate interest since the "60 Minutes" interview aired at different times in different areas of the country;
- There were "startling differences" between men and women. Men continued searching for Daniels throughout the interview and after, while traffic from women fell as much as 16 percent during the interview; and,
- "Stormy Daniels" is the No. 1 most searched for term of 2018, with search volume about 3,000 times what it was in 2017.
