LOS ANGELES — Adultium.com has announced its release of a new cloud-based platform for adult content monetization, including videos, photos, GIFs, comics, drawings, 3D and more.
According to the company, it is not a tube site nor just another site offering movies for money.
It's a platform that provides content producers and performers with a paysite, partner traffic, a large number of monetization options — including memberships, pay-per-view for guest members, donations and more — with a unique design and an introductory 80 percent revshare.
Adultium.com is for producers and studios, amateur homemade filmmakers, models and artists seeking a broader audience while retaining content ownership.
The process includes initial signup, the creation of an individual design for the channel — logo, collage and video teaser channel — the upload of content and the creation of promos such as posters, thumbs and video or photo teasers.
Promos can be branded and feature a call to action encouraging users to support creators financially by buying content and subscribing to channels.
Creators can set the cost per minute from 6 cents to $1.98, using per-second billing, along with the cost of monthly subscriptions.
There are a number of educational resources to help creators get up and running with the platform, plus an on-site currency system that makes add-on sales easier.
“The average price for a user is one minute = $1 (you as a producer, can assign it at your discretion in the range from 6 cents to $1.98 to earn as much as possible, because you know your audience best),” an Adultium.com spokesperson explained. “At first it may seem a lot, but in fact it’s the usual $15 for a 15-minute video. If the video was not viewed entirely, then less. And at the same time, it’s a reason for the user to start watching all the videos in a row.
“It is easier for a user to spend virtual money than real, especially when the site currency rate is chosen such that it does not allow to calculate real money easily,” the spokesperson added. “It is used both online games and webcam sites.”
