ASACP Honors its Featured Sponsors for February 2018

LOS ANGELES — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) has announced its Featured Sponsors for the month of February 2018, highlighting Swingers Date Club, AdultWebmasterNet, and The European Summit as part of its roster of responsible businesses and industry stakeholders.

According to ASACP’s Executive Director Tim Henning, the non-profit association’s enviable history of success spans more than two decades and is made possible by the ongoing generous support of its family of sponsors.

“2018 will see our 22nd year of making the internet safer for children, preventing countless youth from being exposed to age-restricted material while fostering a greater awareness among publishers of the need to keep children out of and away from adult entertainment,” Henning explains. “We have done this through action, not just words.”

Among these positive actions, Henning cites ASACP’s globally recognized Child Exploitation Tipline that has processed more than one million CP reports to-date; its award-winning Restricted To Adults (RTA) meta label that helps filter age-restricted materials; market-specific Best Practices; along with a universal Code of Ethics that guides companies towards child-safe operation; and more, as evidence of the value of the association and the effective use it makes of the support it receives from its sponsors, members, and contributors.

“ASACP is proud to honor a select group of sponsors each month, recognizing these companies’ ongoing commitment to the cause of online child protection and their industry leadership,” Henning stated. “Our Featured Sponsors serve as excellent role models, providing great examples for other brands to follow — because doing so is the right thing to do.”

ASACP thanks Swingers Date Club, AdultWebmasterNet, and The European Summit for their continued support of the association and for the efforts of these industry leaders to make the internet safer for children, and recognizes the roles these diverse companies fulfill in today’s online marketplace.

Swingers Date Club
The world’s largest international swingers’ dating site and an ASACP Corporate Sponsor since 2008, Swingers Date Club boasts a membership of more than three million adults around the globe, encompassing people who are seeking intimate connections with like-minded individuals.

Featuring listings of verified local swingers and swingers’ clubs, parties and events, plus speed dating and travel services, Swingers Date Club has taken pride in being an active sponsor of ASACP and takes protecting minors seriously — helping in this fight by preventing minors from accessing its site by using the RTA label — and further protects visitors from unwanted exposure to sexually explicit imagery by not including this type of material on its homepage.

“We work very hard to help the fight against child pornography on a daily basis,” said Dave from SDC, who explains that SDC.com has an active support staff that combs through the website 24/7 to ensure that no type of illicit activity is going on. “We take immediate action when rules are violated, and the violator’s personal information is always forwarded to the authorities.”

“SDC believes that possessing and receiving child pornography is a serious federal crime, and we will not stand for the abuse of children in any manner,” Dave adds. “It is a huge task to try to stop the victimization of children and we take it very seriously, along with our devoted members who are diligent in contacting us if they see anything that they believe to be hurtful or offensive. Child pornography must be stopped and we vow to do our part in fighting this battle every day.”

AdultWebmasterNet
An ASACP Corporate Sponsor since 2012, AdultWebmasterNet is a traffic services firm that sells and trades adult website traffic, putting the company in a position to view the material published by a wide range of adult sites, which it does with a strong sense of corporate responsibility. For example, the company reviews all traffic requests to ensure it meets minimum standards, such as the lack of underage depictions or any allusion to them.

The company also publishes its own set of Best Practices, which include encouraging clients to become sponsors of ASACP and to adopt the RTA labeling protocol, helping spread the word about the need to protect children online. Although it is an offshore firm, AdultWebmasterNet goes beyond what is required by voluntarily complying with U.S. laws, such as 18 U.S.C. §2257, which mandates performer age verification, showing how ASACP’s top supporters take their responsibilities seriously.

The European Summit
An ASACP Corporate Sponsor since 2010, The European Summit (TES) hosts Europe’s leading B2B conference for the online entertainment industries, bringing together top representatives from the affiliate, billing, casual dating, domain name, mobile technology, website and traffic service arena, in a comfortable setting that is conducive to exchanging ideas and information.

TES is also one of the association’s most loyal and valued supporters over the years, providing considerable, consistent, assistance that has enabled ASACP to spread the word about the importance of online child protection to operators across Europe and beyond.

“The European Summit attracts Europe’s most influential adult media companies, making it a prime venue for ASACP to deliver its message of the need to keep children out of and away from adult entertainment,” Henning said. “As a show of its support, TES provides a high level of hospitality to the association, such as hosting numerous fundraisers and providing complimentary event amenities — illustrating the range of opportunities beyond direct financial support that companies have when it comes to helping ASACP.”

“From casual dating to website traffic services to digital media industry events, ASACP’s Featured Sponsors for February encompass a wide range of business segments,” Henning concludes. “But despite their differences, these companies share one important value — a deep desire to protect children on the internet and beyond.”
