Stripchat Presents Cam Girl Infographic

LOS ANGELES — Stripchat has announced its release of an infographic titled, “Female Empowerment — Cam Model Insights That’ll Blow Your Mind.”

According to the company, it recently polled a cross-section of webcam models for insights into their lives not only as performers but as female entrepreneurs in this emerging industry.

The infographic details the girls’ motivations for becoming webcam entertainers, with most women (87 percent) saying they “feel empowered by their webcam careers,” while others appreciate the freedom of working from home and building wealth as their own bosses.

“As a new company that’s focused on our cam models’ best interests,” said Jim Austin, Stripchat’s head of business development. “We decided to take an informal poll of performers in order to find out what motivates them and what we can do to help create a more successful business for them.”

The majority of entertainers polled by Stripchat work 30 hours per week or more (44 percent), are married with no kids (42 percent) and focused on saving for retirement (45 percent). Experienced models earn $300 per day and can make up to $128,000 per year on average. The majority of these entertainers also hold down jobs in the corporate sector (52 percent), with an eye on entrepreneurship.

“People are really starting to understand the importance of building wealth and preparing for the future in a business with so much flexibility in terms of hours and location,” Austin said. “Stripchat is ideal for models to use for selling not only live cam shows but videos and photo gallery content as well.”
