LOS ANGELES — Wicked Pictures has unveiled the promotional art for "An Inconvenient Mistress," the upcoming release from XBIZ Award-winning director Brad Armstrong and 2018 XBIZ Awards host Jessica Drake. It is slated to arrive in stores on Sept. 27.
Co-starring Ryan Driller, Armstrong's latest feature takes aim at the kind of complicated financial schemes that have led to the nation's economic collapse in the past. The script's timely and dramatic events are explored on a human scale, a tactic previously employed by the filmmaker and star on such hit collaborations as "Aftermath" and "DNA."
"It has a very involved script with a lot going on, and it is all played very realistically," the writer/director said of his latest production. "It reminds me a bit of 'Aftermath,' which also featured Jessica and Ryan. It could almost be a 'prequel.' But although the movie is very much a Jessica and Ryan vehicle, an incredibly talented supporting cast creates the framework for them to shine even brighter."
Of her latest collaboration with Armstrong, Drake said, "Playing Ava in 'An Inconvenient Mistress' was a creative experience. She is very human, and I integrated some of my own unique characteristics into the part, but there was no imitating of a movie or TV show or costuming to rely upon. I'm grateful Ryan Driller is such a talented actor and an all around amazing performer. He gave so much depth and substance to his character, and as a team, I feel we have a chemistry that viewers will really appreciate.
"Acting in adult films is something that largely goes unappreciated, but being contracted to Wicked Pictures allows me the ability to express myself sexually through my movies while simultaneously taking on other roles and characters," she continued. "In the midst of the neverending sea of simple scenes online, viewers are once again gravitating to porn of a higher quality, with storylines and plot pertinent sex."
Drake and Driller's co-stars include Armstrong, Bridgette B, Cali Carter, Ember Snow, Summer Brielle, Honey Gold, India Summer, Morgan Lee, Eric Masterson, Isiah Maxwell, Michael Vegas and Seth Gamble.
Temptation, desire and a touch of the taboo are explored by Drake in this sexually-charged feature. "Since I only shoot a limited number of movies in a year, I concentrate on projects I really want to do and use them as vehicles to showcase my sexuality, " she revealed. "I do DPs in this movie, an orgy, a four-way and sex in public places. At the helm of this project is the multi-talented Brad Armstrong, as the writer, director, art director, set designer and stylist. With his incredible, action-packed script coupled with his perfect casting and on set direction, this movie is going to be a guaranteed hit.
