The Lion's Den Becomes Newest ASACP Title Sponsor

LOS ANGELES — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) has announced The Lion’s Den as its newest Title Sponsor.

According to the company, The Lion’s Den provides the best in adult entertainment through its retail superstores and over the internet via LionsDenAdult.com. Offering a wide range of novelties along with lingerie, sensual care products, bachelor/bachelorette party supplies and more, The Lion’s Den opened its first retail facility in Columbus, Ohio, in 1971, and has since grown to more than 45 outlets throughout the country, building its reputation on quality products and low prices.

“By treating our customers with dignity and respect we have come to form a loyal relationship with our patrons,” explains a company spokesperson. “The Lion’s Den fully understands that human sexuality is a personal and sensitive matter [and] it is our goal to provide the most secure and safe environment for our customers to explore eroticism without any disconcertion.”

An ASACP Corporate Sponsor since 2006, The Lion’s Den celebrated its more than decade-long anniversary of association support this year by elevating its status to that of an elite Title Sponsor.

“The Lion’s Den has been in the forefront of the industry for more than 34 years,” company CEO Michael Moran noted in 2006. “Not just when it comes to integrity and professionalism, but also leading the way in defending our 1st and 4th Amendment rights. We’re proud that our community involvement now includes supporting ASACP’s efforts to protect kids from exploitation, and from adult material.”

More than a decade later, and now after more than 44 years of industry excellence, The Lion’s Den’s commitment to ASACP remains stronger than ever.

ASACP’s Executive Director Tim Henning says that as a non-profit association, ASACP survives on the continued generosity of its sponsors.

“Without the direct financial help of our sponsors, ASACP would not be able to carry out its mission of keeping children out of and away from adult entertainment,” Henning explains. “Our 21-year-long record of success is dependent on this support and we are grateful that The Lion’s Den’s has greatly increased the aid it lends to ASACP — and the safety it provides to children in their daily digital lives.”

ASACP uses the support it receives from its sponsors to fund initiatives such as its internationally recognized Child Exploitation Tipline, which has processed more than one million CP reports since its inception; and ASACP’s multiple award-winning Restricted To Adults (RTA) meta labeling system that prevents minor’s access to age-restricted web pages and mobile apps. Market-specific Best Practices and a universal Code of Ethics help guide digital media companies towards child-safe operation and are also among ASACP’s tangible benefits.

“By upgrading to an ASACP Title Sponsorship, The Lion’s Den demonstrates its industry leadership and how top-tier adult companies can be socially-responsible community members,” Henning adds. “This is so important, both for the industry and for our children’s future.”
