Wicked's 'The Preacher's Daughter' Now Available

LOS ANGELES — Wicked Pictures has released “The Preacher’s Daughter,” a dramatic story directed by Brad Armstrong.

“The Preacher’s Daughter” stars Mia Malkova as Marissa, who is the daughter of a minister and is attracted to Billy Davidson — played by Xander Corvus and described by a spokesperson for the film as a “bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks.” Alexis Fawx plays Marissa’s mother Nancy, and Armstrong plays the preacher.

“Before long,” a representative for the film said, “(Marissa and Billy) become lovers. But Marissa’s perfect world is turned upside down as her mother and father forbid her from seeing Billy, saying he’s a heathen who’ll ruin her life. But the more they try to drive the two young lovers apart, the stronger their bond grows. The situation finally comes to a boiling point, and the family issues an ultimatum: either never see Billy again, or they’ll turn their backs on her forever. Now, it’s up to Marissa: will she come back to her family and church, or will she risk everything to be with the man she loves?”

“I’m so excited to see what everyone thinks of ‘The Preacher’s Daughter,’” Armstrong said. “The entire cast did an incredible job. Each one of them brought their A-game and managed to bring the characters on the page to life.”

Malkova said, “’The Preacher’s Daughter’ is my first Wicked feature lead, and I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of this movie. The entire cast and crew were fantastic, and we had a lot of fun on set. I really felt comfortable playing Marissa. She is shy and innocent, and that all comes very natural to me.”

“The Preacher’s Daughter” also features Jessa Rhodes, Mercedes Carrera and Blair Williams.

“As a director,” Armstrong said, “I was incredibly impressed by the genuine enthusiasm of the performers to be part of the project and to go the extra mile to make the movie all it could be. As the writer, I was pleasantly surprised by how many of them surpassed my expectations of what I’d envisioned while I was hammering away at the keyboard.”

Carrera said, “This role is one of my favorites to date. It was such a great opportunity to get to act and become a character from the prolific Brad Armstrong’s script and vision. Being part Native American, I particularly enjoyed bringing such a character to life. And getting to create a Texan drawl was a challenge I especially relished. Working for Wicked is always a pleasure, and this was no exception. Big thanks to Wicked and Brad for including me in this fantastic feature.”

Fawx said she enjoyed playing a character who is the total opposite of what she is like in real life.

“I absolutely loved being a part of this,” Fawx said. “Playing the role of Nancy was a great experience because she is quite the opposite of how I am, and yet, she totally reminded me of my home town.”

A non-explicit trailer for “The Preacher’s Daughter” has been posted on YouTube.

“The Preacher’s Daughter” is available as a two-DVD collector’s set. The first disc is devoted to the feature, while the second disc contains bonus sex scenes, a sensual still gallery and hardcore trailers.

Armstrong said, “’The Preacher’s Daughter’ is an amazing movie, and I’m very proud of it. I couldn’t be happier with the finished product. September is a very exciting time for me. I’m doing some of my best work ever. My only problem right now is I can’t decide which movie I like best: ‘The Preacher’s Daughter’ or ‘DNA,’ which we’ll release at the end of the month.”

An epic sci-fi thriller starring Wicked contract performers jessica drake and Asa Akira, “DNA” will arrive in stores Sept. 28.
