Sliquid's Smooth Shave Creme Features Vegan Formula

DALLAS — Sliquid has announced that it has made going hair-free an animal-friendly experience, with Sliquid Smooth, an all-natural shave cream boasting a 100 percent vegan formulation — a claim, the company says, that most other shave creams can’t make.

Free of lanolin, an animal byproduct most often found in both hair and skin-conditioning products, including many shave creams as a moisturizing agent, Sliquid Smooth maintains its nourishing texture with plant-based alternatives such as shea butter and plant cellulose, to give retailers the vegan-friendly skincare many consumers demand.

The Sliquid Smooth collection boasts three scents, each infused with essential oils to leave skin feeling smooth with a subtle, pleasant aroma, and for those sensitive to fragrance or who simply do not prefer a scented shave cream, Sliquid Smooth also is available in an unscented version.

“Awareness of vegan-friendly ingredients has soared over the last few years, but many retailers and consumers aren’t aware that lanolin is the skin-conditioner of choice by many manufacturers of almost every other shave cream available, yet it is an animal by-product that has been shown to act as an irritant to some users,” Sliquid VP of Sales and Marketing Michelle Marcus said. “Sliquid Smooth is a naturally superior shave cream that maintains its lush, velvety texture with the addition of botanicals and plant-based ingredients. This offers our retailers and consumers piece of mind before purchasing, and helps maintain loyal long-term relationships with the Sliquid brand.”

The company says that Sliquid Smooth offers consumers a spa-quality choice void of harsh preservatives and animal-based conditioners that can aggravate delicate skin, and with its lanolin-free ingredient deck is making a strong impression worldwide.

“We’ve found this to be a key selling point when educating both retailers and consumers about how Sliquid Smooth differs from most other shave creams out there,” Marcus says. “We are proud to be able to educate the masses in this way to help them make a more cognizant choice.”

Sliquid Smooth is part of the Balance series of spa-inspired body care products packaged with bold colored labels accented with metallics and merchandised for adult and mainstream retail.
