Grooby Announces 2017 TEA Dates

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. Grooby today announced the date for the 2017 Transgender Erotica Awards — also known as the TEAs — as March 5 at the Avalon in Hollywood.

The official after party, as tradition goes, will be held the following night, March 6, at Avalon’s connecting property, the Bardot.

The TEAs, now in its ninth year, celebrates the accomplishments of the trans adult industry and its performers.

From its humble beginnings as an online competition started by Grooby, the TEAs are now a three-day event which includes an awards ceremony, after party, and now a daytime fan convention.

This will be the third year the event will be held at the historic Hollywood venue.

“It’s six months away, are you kidding? We have to start working on this already, didn’t we just finish the last one?” Steven Grooby said. “The TEAs take so much energy and planning for us. We’re not an event company; we’re a small porn company that puts on this awesome show once a year, so forgive us if we start early, forgive us if we hassle you for sponsorship early and, most importantly, mark your diaries.

“#TEA17 is here.”

Kristel Penn, Grooby’s marketing and editorial director, noted that the company also is in the process of finalizing the details for its second annual TEA Con.

“After the success of our first event, we’re looking to expand it to accommodate our expected influx of participating performers and attendees,” Penn said.

Sponsorship packages for next year's TEAs will be announced soon at theTEAShow.com.

Companies and performers interested in sponsoring are encouraged to email kristel@grooby.com to be notified.
