Studio 20 to Open Hollywood Location on Wednesday

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — After months of anticipation, live cam company Studio 20 will be cutting the ribbon for its grand opening of its newest location in Hollywood, Calif., on Wednesday.

The 5,300-square-foot studio on Vine Street, between Sunset and Hollywood boulevards, is the sixth studio in the chain, which has five other locations in the Romanian cities of Bucharest, Timisoara and Cluj-Napoca. The Vine Street studio will have 14 specifically themed rooms.

“The renovations are almost complete [and the] support team was trained for over a month in our existing locations,” Studio 20 CEO Mugur Frunzetti said. “I chose to invest my money and efforts to prove that Studio 20’s business model and expertise can work in the U.S.”

Frunzetti said there were a lot of blank stares when he first announced a California studio location for the chain.

“We have a lot of eyes on my newest location and some people doubt the U.S. acceptance of the ‘studio’ business model and its ability to succeed in America,” he said. “I can’t wait to have my U.S. Team and our Los Angeles location prove them all wrong.”

The first Studio 20 location opened in early 2013 in Romania and, at more than 10,000 square feet, the second location that opened in 2014 is still one of the largest live cam studios in Europe. Frunzetti noted the chain has annual revenue of more than $5 million.

Frunzetti said that Studio 20’s success and growth is based on the “unique way” the company trains its models — towards glamour live modeling; not the classical “camgirl” approach.

Karoly Papp, CEO of Docler Holding, which operates LiveJasmin.com, wished the company success with its new Hollywood studio.

“We hope this studio will be the best as they are in Romania and the LiveJasmin team will do everything what it takes to succeed with the models involved in the L.A. operation,” Papp said.

Greg Clayman, president and CEO of Flirt4Free, said: “Flirt4Free has had the pleasure of working with Studio 20’s international studios for some time now.  It would be difficult to find a more professionally owned and operated studio for Internet cam broadcasting anywhere in the world.”

"The issue I have always had with studios in the E.U. is that using them changes the look of our website to have a more foreign feel. With this Los Angeles operation, Studio 20 has changed all of that and I can’t wait to plug their U.S. models into our site," said Eric Wexel, FreeWebcams.com's managing partner.
