Video: Utherverse’s Brian Shuster’s XBIZ 360 Keynote Address

LOS ANGELES — Red Light Center has released a video of Utherverse CEO and founder Brian Shuster’s Visionary Keynote at the 2015 XBIZ 360 Digital Media Conference, entitled, “The Future of Sex, Porn and Technology.”

Utherverse is perhaps best known as the parent of the Red Light Center virtual world, which was recently upgraded with the latest technology — including compatibility with the Oculus Rift Virtual Reality headset, for a truly immersive user experience.

The 2015 edition of the XBIZ 360 series of adult entertainment industry events took over the Andaz Hotel on Hollywood’s famous Sunset Strip from January 14-16, offering seven events and related conferences tailored to the adult digital media, movie production, retail and pleasure products markets, to deliver the most comprehensive showcase of industry insights ever presented in one place. XBIZ 360 culminated in the industry’s most glamorous, prestigious and star-studded red carpet gala of the year — the 2015 XBIZ Awards show — which was presented by Fleshlight, and hosted by award-winning performer James Deen.

The XBIZ 360 Digital Media Conference offered an exclusive look at the latest technology along with timely educational sessions and informational workshops, plus networking opportunities and the diverse entertainment options that only Hollywood can provide.

Shuster, a noted technologist and engaging speaker, delivered a keynote address that was an inspiring highlight of the XBIZ 360 Digital Media Conference.

A pioneer in both adult entertainment and web technologies, Shuster started his first adult company, XPics.com, in 1996 — quickly growing it to more than 60,000 webmaster affiliates and more than 2 million paying subscribers during the heyday of online porn.

In 2003 Shuster founded Utherverse Inc., a leading developer of the 3D web, including RedLightCenter.com, the world’s largest adult virtual world. Shuster is also behind the Virtual World Web (VWW), which consists of more than 145,000 independently owned and operated virtual businesses, and is the founder of the annual Adult Entertainment Virtual Convention. He has been issued more than 35 patents, covering technologies that are used by nearly all websites today, and developed the first 3D Internet browser, Curio, allowing everyone to take part in the 3D web.

Ever on the leading edge, Shuster told XBIZ that the playing field is rapidly changing for the world of online adult commerce and entertainment, providing opportunities ahead.

“This year promises to usher in the beginning of the most significant new technological changes to the adult industry since the introduction of the World Wide Web in the mid-1990s,” Shuster told XBIZ. “These sweepingly disruptive innovations and products will open the doors for new opportunities, but they will also lay waste to many established business models and companies.”

Shuster’s keynote is just one example of the range of ideas and voices that XBIZ provides to its event attendees, delivering the pieces to the puzzle of profiting from porn today.
