SugarDVD Sweetens Pot for Kim Kardashian Sex Tape

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Online adult DVD rental company SugarDVD has upped its offer to $2 million for a sex tape starring socialite Kim Kardashian and R&B singer Ray J. Company spokesperson Angie, assistant to SugarDVD CEO Jax Smith, confirmed the existence of the sex tape to XBIZ.

According to Angie, an unnamed third party approached SugarDVD and other adult companies two months ago peddling the tape. Angie would not comment on how this third party obtained the tape, or if he was acting on Kardashian’s behalf.

Kardashian is the daughter of former O.J. Simpson attorney, the late Robert Kardashian. She also is the step-daughter of Olympic Gold Medalist Bruce Jenner. Paris Hilton, no stranger to sex tapes herself, is Kardashian’s best friend, and the two are seen together frequently visiting Hollywood’s trendiest clubs.

Hilton, along with then-boyfriend Rick Salomon, starred in a homemade sex tape, which was released through Red Light District in June 2004.

Ray J is the brother of R&B singer Brandy and first cousins with rap icon Snoop Dogg. He starred in Brandy’s UPN sitcom “Moesha,” and scored a modest hit with the single “One Wish.”

“We’re attempting to set up a meeting with both Kim and Paris to discuss the tape,” Angie told XBIZ. Hilton allegedly has advised Kardashian not to sell the footage. “We’ve requested the meeting to get everything out in the open, so it should happen sooner rather than later.”

Smith initially offered $1.5 million for the Kardashian tape, but upped the ante and extended an offer to make Kardashian the spokesperson for SugarDVD. The company maintains a high profile mainstream advertising presence through its ad spots starring Tera Patrick, which have aired on MTV, VH1, BET, Spike and E!
