ASACP Honors Featured Sponsors for March, 2015

LOS ANGELES — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) has announced its Featured Sponsors for the month of March, 2015.

“ASACP’s Sponsor Recognition Program honors those digital media producers, promoters, and service providers that have demonstrated a willingness to put child protection ahead of pure profits,” ASACP’s Executive Director, Tim Henning explains. “They do this via the use of the Restricted To Adults (RTA) website label, and by following ASACP’s Code of Ethics, and its market-specific Best Practices, and by taking other proactive, voluntary measures.”

“Seeking to uphold the highest ethical and business operational standards,” Henning adds, “ASACP’s sponsors set an example that is worthy of following.”

Honoring its Featured Sponsors for March, 2015, ASACP recognizes Adult Centro, Cam4.com and EPG Bill, for their generous support of the association and its fight to keep children out of and away from adult entertainment.

AdultCentro
An ASACP Title Sponsor that has supported the association since 2012, AdultCentro offers services for adult content creators, performers and publishers. For example, its AC Publisher tool allows users to build a complete site or insert content feeds into an existing site; while the AC Marketplace service brings content buyers and sellers together. AC Cloud allows its users to distribute and monetize their content, for a full service offering.

Together, these tools from AdultCentro provide a complete ecosystem for adult entertainment companies, performers and promoters to bring their wares to market and as such sits on the front line of online child protection.

“Being a featured sponsor with ASACP is gratifying in more ways than one. While the acknowledgement and credit for being a sponsor is appreciated, the true recognition should go to all those at ASACP who continue to protect minors from adult content,” says AdultCentro CEO Stan Fiskin. “The service that ASACP provides goes above and beyond and it’s for that very reason that AdultCentro is a proud supporter of such an organization.”

Cam4
An ASACP Corporate Sponsor whose support extends back to 2013, Cam4 is on the frontline of online child protection, due to its operation of live webcam / video chat sites, where minors not only attempt to access these sites, but through misrepresentation of their age, attempt to become paid performers. The global nature of this business (with varying documentation in different jurisdictions) and the physical separation between the company and its contractors, make it a daunting proposition to ensure that performers, let alone viewers, are of a legal age.

Because of these challenges, ASACP offers a stringent set of Best Practices tailored to the specific needs of live cam site operators, which Cam4 benefits from. Cam4 takes additional measures such as the use of the RTA label to block children from its site; illustrating a caring, proactive approach to keeping children safe.

These steps also include a warning page overlay that notifies viewers that no CP is present on the site and that anyone posting or seeking underage material would be reported to authorities, with the company aiding in the prosecution of these users — sending a clear message that it will not tolerate children accessing or being displayed on the Cam4 site.

EPG Bill
Another ASACP Corporate Sponsor, EPG Bill is an Internet Payment Service Provider based in Frankfurt, Germany, which sets up and supervises accounts and online payment systems for a range of e-commerce businesses — including those in the adult entertainment space.

According to EPG Bill, the monetary aspect of e-commerce is its core business, and requires a maximum amount of mutual trust, which it achieves in part via consistent risk management that enables clients to concentrate on their actual business goals. As such, the company is not in the business of providing content, but of support services. In this regard, EPG Bill is able to apply common sense online child protection policies as part of its client site review process — bringing oversight and meticulous, self-critical analysis to content providers’ online offers.

While diverse in their business roles, this month’s Featured Sponsors are unanimous in their support of ASACP, and among those top companies exhibiting the commitment to corporate leadership and proactive self-regulation that exemplify the best of today’s digital media firms.
