ASACP Announces Featured Sponsors for June

LOS ANGELES — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) on Monday announced its Featured Sponsors for June — recognizing those leading adult entertainment companies and service providers taking steps to protect children.

Honoring the providers of digital media content and related services that have supported the association’s mission to keep children out of and away from adult entertainment and other age-restricted materials on the Internet, ASACP’s Sponsor Recognition Program serves to identify those industry leaders that are setting a responsible example for their peers to follow.

Without this support, ASACP would not be able to fund vital services such as its acclaimed CP Reporting Hotline, which enables concerned individuals to report suspected child porn. ASACP then passes on confirmed “Red Flag” reports to relevant law enforcement agencies, as well as to other international hotlines, helping to coordinate the global effort to eliminate commercial child pornography and contributing to the closure of these heinous websites.

According to ASACP Executive Director, Tim Henning, the ongoing support received from entertainment media stakeholders also enables other services that benefit at-risk youth.

“From the use of the Restricted To Adults (RTA) website meta label that provides an accurate trigger for content filtering tools, to adherence to ASACP’s Best Practices and Code of Ethics, adult entertainment companies are taking proactive and positive steps to protect their business interests from outside influences,” Henning explained. “By sponsoring ASACP, these firms are not only ‘doing the right thing,’ but are also having their example of corporate responsibility heralded where it matters — in the halls of power where legislators need a counterbalance to the anti-porn messages being trumpeted by the foes of free speech.”

For June, ASACP recognizes Porn.com, Cherry Pimps and SendJoinsGetPaid.com as its Featured Sponsors:

Porn.com

An ASACP Corporate Sponsor since 2008, Porn.com has been a consistent supporter of the association’s mission. Operating as a “legal” tube site that receives submissions only from registered users of its Content Partner Program, Porn.com bypasses many of the questionable content issues associated with tube sites that allow uploads from general users; which often consist of unauthorized postings of copyrighted material or depictions of underage models.

By controlling the sources of its content, Porn.com provides proof that tube sites can operate successfully without having to take a blind eye towards the type of materials they publish.

Cherry Pimps

Supporting the association as a Corporate Sponsor since 2013, Cherry Pimps helps to protect children and others from inadvertent exposure to age-restricted materials by locking its fare behind a pay wall — requiring viewers to purchase the company’s adult content, including its live webcam sex shows — rather than offering it free to all.

This technique is particularly effective at preventing older, teenage children, who may defeat age controls targeting younger, less-sophisticated Internet users, from accessing adult content; because these kids will move on to other sites with less stringent content distribution controls.

SendJoinsGetPaid.com

Another ASACP Corporate Sponsor since 2013, SendJoinsGetPaid.com takes an aggressive stance towards protecting children from exposure to age-restricted materials by using warning pages and including RTA labeling on websites within its network, and by limiting distribution of explicit materials to members that pay for the privilege.

By carefully screening and regulating its affiliates, SendJoinsGetPaid.com limits the way that affiliates promote its portfolio — for example, by barring the use of mainstream social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter. This simple step helps ensure that adult-oriented content is not shown to children in inappropriate, non-adult venues.

Whether via the use of warning pages, RTA labeling or pay-to-play, ASACP’s sponsors use a variety of means to ensure that only adults are consuming their “adult’s only” offerings.

From premium adult entertainment and digital media suppliers, to affiliate marketing firms, customer support and banking services, plus other stakeholders, a wide range of organizations are exercising their social responsibility by supporting ASACP.
