CCBill Joins Community in Support of AIDS/LifeCycle Ride

TEMPE, Ariz. — CCBill announced today its continued support of the fight against AIDS by sponsoring the upcoming AIDS/LifeCycle bike ride event with a charitable donation to a community peer.

Specifically, the global processing company is sponsoring Cybersocket's Morgan Sommer’s participation as a rider. Sommer is president of the company.

“It is our privilege and honor to make this contribution for Morgan’s participation, and in doing so, also assist in the advancement of the greater cause as a whole,” said Gary Jackson, managing vice president of sales and Internet markets for CCBill. “AIDS continues to have a major impact on the nation and world, and this event continues to play an important role in increasing public awareness about HIV/AIDS, and also providing direct help for those who need it most.”

AIDS/LifeCycle 2014 is a 545-mile distance bicycle ride between San Francisco and Los Angeles, taking place between June 1 and 7.

This year's event will be the fourth one Morgan has participated in, and also the fourth one in which CCBill supports his efforts.

Donations directly affect the lives of people living with HIV/AIDS and are used to provide essential medical, treatment, and education services to the communities served by the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center, the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the many smaller organizations around the U.S. that receive funds from the beneficiaries.

“This event is truly amazing. It brings people together from all walks of life with a common goal of helping others and in an atmosphere of fitness, fun and cooperation. Donations go directly to help people who need and cannot afford treatment for AIDS/HIV,” Sommer said.

"Many members of our industry supported me in this and for this I am immensely grateful. Our industry community is filled with good hearted and generous people. I like to think about the people who have demonstrated their support while I am pedaling up hour long climbs, it is incredibly motivating. CCBill and others help to keep me inspired to continue doing the training and finish this year’s ride.”

Jackson noted that CCBill is "humbled by Morgan’s dedication to this ride and cause."

"We are cheering on he and his teammates and we encourage others to join in offering their support,” he said.
