Band Behind Westboro Baptist Church Porno Debuts Alt Porn Site

LOS ANGELES — Sacramento-based punk band, Get Shot! — who made international headlines last October after filming a porno starring its bassist Laura Lush on the lawn of the notoriously antigay Westboro Baptist Church — announced today the debut of their “rock ‘n’ porn” website, GetShotGirls.com.

J.P. Hunter, the band’s front man, adult performer and CEO of Get Shot Entertainment launched GetShotGirls.com last July as a free “punk porn” site hosted by GoDaddy. The site has recently been redesigned on their own private server and is poised to enter the adult market.

“Our vision of porn is different: Real girls aren’t edited and airbrushed when you meet them at the bar," Hunter said. “We like the hot girls that you see every day, work at the grocery store and goes to punk and metal shows. Take that and mix it with really good underground bands from around the world with our (developing) 24/7 radio station and the only thing you are missing is cocaine."

According to the band members, the website’s working motto, “Naked Girls and Rock ‘n’ Roll, Because We Can’t Sell Cocaine,” has stirred up some controversy about their marketing strategies. They also advertise that it’s “cheaper than a pack of cigarettes” to become a member of their site.

“I’ve asked all my friends if they pay for porn and just about everyone said no because it’s expensive,” Hunter added. “They all smoke a pack of cigarettes a day. I think we offer a price that is hard to argue with for exclusive amateur content that is authentic and truly punk rock.”

The original clip from the self-professed “sleaziest band in the world” can be found on XVideos and has garnered a colective 10 million views. Now the group says it plans to step up its game and film an interracial sex scene at a Ku Klux Klan rally and a group masturbation flick at the Mormon temple in Salt Lake City.

“I’m sure we will get death threats” Hunter said.

Monarchy Distribution signed Get Shot Girls to a DVD deal in October to expand their content to the retail market. The video is set to be released later this summer.

Get Shot! recently finished up a U.S. tour promoting their new album “Let’s Make A Porno.” The porn-rockers are also making plans to tour Australia and Europe this winter.
