LONDON — An Irish soccer star has deleted his Facebook and Twitter accounts after images of him surfaced on social media sites showing him in videos from TheCastingRoom.net, a hardcore gay porn website the features “mostly straight guys” performing solo and with others.
Cathal McCarron apparently went by the name “Fergus” for his two videos, according to media reports. The first scene featuring Fergus masturbating; a second film shows anal and oral sex with another man.
“Big strapping footballer Fergus grew up in a rural area where sexual adventures were limited. Now that he’s living in the big city he wants to try it all,” said in a description.
McCarron made headlines last October when it emerged suffered from gambling addiction. He later moved to London from Belfast to play for the Round Towers.
After a storm of abuse in response to online reports about him appearing in the film, McCarron this week shut his Twitter and Facebook accounts.
