ASACP Announces Featured Sponsors for December

LOS ANGELES — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) has announced its Featured Sponsors of the Month for December.

ASACP recognizes Epoch, AbbyWinters.com BV and Ex Situ Marketing (Rabbit’s Reviews), that according to Executive Director Tim Henning, are dedicated backers that assist ASACP in performing its valuable mission.

Henning said the association’s industry-leading sponsors demonstrate a proactive commitment to “doing the right thing,” by keeping children out of and away from online adult entertainment and other age-inappropriate digital materials.

Epoch, a Platinum Sponsor has supported ASACP for more than 11 years, and is a highly regarded Internet payment services provider enabling merchants to process transactions and accept payments for digital products and services, both online and via mobile device. Although Epoch is a payment services provider, and not a content publishing company, ASACP said it is still concerned with protecting children on the Internet; and is in a position to take an active, two-pronged approach to the issue — first, by ensuring that its services are not used by illegal websites selling materials depicting underage performers and secondly by selflessly providing dedicated service on the association’s Advisory Committee — helping to set the responsible standards and practices for legitimate adult entertainment and other companies disseminating age-restricted digital materials.

Epoch enjoys a reputation for going above and beyond — scrutinizing clients’ sites to ensure they adhere to minimum standards before extending processing services to these sites; and by providing excellent customer service. It is a corporate philosophy that puts people first, and is an example of the kind of industry-leading company that ASACP noted is proud to count among its most valued sponsors.

AbbyWinters.com BV, is a Title Sponsor that serves on ASACP’s European Advisory Committee, whose support goes back to 2006. SASACP said AbbyWinters offers adult visitors “wholesome young amateur women alone, together, and with their boyfriends,” and features a database of more than 1,500 models that are tastefully depicted in over 1200 hours of video and a half million photos. From the site’s proactive use of an overlaid warning page alerting visitors that age-restricted content lies ahead, to its RTA labeling, the site exemplifies the positive steps that responsible adult websites take in order to keep minors, as well as “accidental” visitors, from being exposed to adult-oriented material.

The company also includes links to parental filtering resources, in order to bolster the foundation of online child protection: parental involvement. By doing its part to help keep minors away, as well as by taking an active role in guiding the mission of ASACP and its European expansion, AbbyWinters.com is an impressive example of how a professional adult entertainment website can balance online child protection with a high-quality user experience — serving as an ideal for other adult content sites should follow.

Also recognized is Ex Situ Marketing (Rabbit’s Reviews), a Corporate Sponsor supporting ASACP since 2005. Ex Situ Marketing is better known as Rabbit’s Reviews — a free, adult-oriented website that focuses on reviewing premium adult pay sites to provide an independent measure of the quality and value of these erotic websites, referred to as the “Consumer Reports” of porn.

Having seen and reviewed countless adult websites over its long history, ASACP said Rabbit’s Reviews is a frontline player in the online adult entertainment industry and in a position to understand the importance of protecting children from inappropriate material. Through its generous support, the company has helped ASACP to carry on its mission of protecting children on the Internet, while helping to set the standards of legitimacy for online adult offers. Although the sexually explicit content on the RabbitsReviews.com website is largely limited to screen shots of the reviewed sites (as well as some promotional material for these sites), the company still faces the challenge of preventing minor’s unauthorized access to age-restricted content by using a warning page and parental filtering controls; echoing the growing industry standard of proactively providing protective barriers between youth and adult entertainment, all in accordance with ASACP’s Best Practices.

“ASACP’s Sponsor Recognition Program honors the responsible providers of adult-oriented content that have supported and enabled the association’s mission over the years,” Henning states. “These industry leaders show that adult entertainment and child protection can both work hand in hand, Executive Director Tim Henning, said.”

He added, “From payment processing to premium content membership sites to websitreviews, our December honorees illustrate the range of companies that support ASACP. Without the continued dedication of our family of supporters, we wouldn’t have the impact that we have had when it comes to keeping children safer in today’s challenging digital age.”

ASACP said it helps these companies by providing a standardized Code of Ethics, along with a set of market segment-specific Best Practices tailored to a range of individual business models; as well as the multiple award-winning Restricted To Adults (RTA) labeling code, which helps to prevent minors from accessing age-restricted websites and mobile applications.
