Video: Healthcare.xxx Might Work Better

NEW YORK — "Late Show" host David Letterman gave a mention to a .xxx domain Tuesday night.

In a skit, Letterman told viewers that there's good news regarding the Obamacare website.

"Thankfully, finally. Take a look at this," says Letterman, preceding the beginning of an ad.

The ad goes on: "If you are one of the millions of Americans who’s been frustrated by the malfunctioning Healthcare.gov website, try the trouble-free alternative, the Healthcare.xxx. It’s your Internet home for explicit adult content featuring doctors, nurses, lab technicians, phlebotomists, medical billers and more. Not affiliates with Healthcare.gov. www.healthcare.xxx.gov, getting it done."

Healthcare.xxx isn't yet owned and operable, but GoDaddy has the domain going for $49,999 at auction.

ICM Registry started operating .xxx in 2011 after an ICANN board approved the sponsored TLD that year.

Stuart Lawley, ICM Registry's CEO, told XBIZ that the Letterman skit was "absolutely hilarious."
