Jupiter Hosting Builds European Presence

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Jupiter Hosting has launched a managed hosting service in Amsterdam, allowing new and current U.S.-based customers to expand into Europe.

According to Jupiter Hosting Vice President Kevin Croy, the service availability from Amsterdam will allow customers to use up to 10 Gigabits of immediate on-net capacity to central Europe’s largest backbones. The service also will allow customers to scale up to 100Gbps or more.

“We have made a significant investment in Europe in 2006 and have made it as simple as possible for our worldwide base of customers to access European networks as they do in the U.S. with Jupiter Hosting,” Croy said.

The new service location will offer many of the company’s well-known products, Croy said.

Offerings include:

  • New Dell dedicated server leasing
  • Managed storage
  • Managed load balancing
  • Managed data backup
  • Free email
  • Agent based system monitoring and problem reporting
  • Real time bandwidth use statistics
  • Email and telephone support
  • “Our customers expect more than a server and an IP address,” Jupiter Hosting CEO Ray Taft said. “By providing a range of a-la-carte managed services in Europe, customers can work with us to design a cost-effective solution with individually unique infrastructure requirements.”

According to Taft, the decision to offer a European-based hosting service came in response to customer demand.

“Our top-shelf products and services will set us apart from all other European hosting companies,” Taft said.
