SHAFTA Awards Slated for Dec. 5 at London's Rise

LONDON — TelevisionX.com today announced that it will be holding its fourth annual SHAFTA awards on Dec. 5, at Rise Super Club in London's Leicester Square.

Formally known as the Soft and Hard Adult Film and Television Awards, SHAFTA is the U.K.’s biggest adult awards show celebrating the top talent.

The awards event this year, which brings together the cream of the U.K. adult industry, coincides with Television X's 18th birthday party.

Through its three years, the SHAFTAs have become an insider networking event where traders rub shoulders with distributors, producers, directors, celebrities and the stars themselves.

The SHAFTAs have grown with each event, frrom a small pub in Greenwich to last year’s Tropical Island extravaganza at Platinum Lace.

“The SHAFTAs sets the bar for U.K. award ceremonies. It truly is the U.K. porn Oscars,” said Chris Ratcliff, Television X's head of programming. “This year we are pulling out all the stops with more guests, more sponsors and more of your favorite Television X stars and shows from the last 18 years. Prepare for the rollercoaster ride of your lives.”

Voting opens for the SHAFTAs on Nov. 1
