ASACP Celebrates 10th Anniversary

LOS ANGELES — Founded in 1996 with the mission of eliminating child pornography online, ASACP will mark its 10-year anniversary this summer.

“So many people have put so much energy into this organization over the past decade,” ASACP Executive Director Joan Irvine said. “Everything ASACP has accomplished has been a community effort, and we’re really looking forward to thanking the online adult industry for its support.”

Irvine plans to thank the online community at the upcoming XBIZ Summer ’06 Forum, held July 12-14 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

The final event of the Forum — a Farewell Executive Champagne Brunch — will feature a brief salute to ASACP and a toast to commemorate the organization’s 10-year anniversary. A portion of the proceeds from the brunch will be donated to ASACP. Among ASACP’s Corporate Sponsors already onboard for the event is SexSearch.com.

The brunch will be held at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s Simon Kitchen & Bar July 14 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

In addition to the anniversary event, Irvine will participate in a panel at the Forum titled “Protect Your Business.” Irvine said that she expects to discuss how ASACP membership not only helps children, but also helps adult companies demonstrate their commitment to responsible business practices.
