CommerceGate Receives 2012 XBIZ Award for Payment Processing

LOS ANGELES — CommerceGate has won another payment processing award for its exceptional service as it was named the 2012 XBIZ Award-winning European Billing Company of the Year on Jan. 10 at the 2012 XBIZ Awards.

The company, which prides itself on providing the best processing solutions for European merchants and webmasters, received the honor at the XBIZ 10th anniversary gala at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica.

In 2011, CommerceGate was honored with an XBIZ Award for Billing Company of the Year for Merchant Services and in 2009 the company won special recognition with the prestigious Strategic Partnership of the Year Award.

"Our company is built on a foundation of four essential principles," said Bjorn Skarlen, CEO of CommerceGate. "Security, Throughput, Service and Ease of Use. We have pursued all four of these key elements of success in everything we do and we are proud of the recognition that our approach has earned us from the industry at large. Being nominated by industry insiders and earning an XBIZ Award once again is quite a thrill."

As a payment service provider, CommerceGate has direct relationships with some of the largest acquiring banks in the US and the EU. This allows clients to utilize processing services that are tailored to their own specific business model.

The CommerceGate level 1 PCI compliant system allows clients to opt in to a program where data can be collected, stored and protected on their behalf by CommerceGate — shifting the burden of security and storage from their company to CommerceGate effectively.

CommerceGate has become a leader in processing within North America, but the company said this 2012 XBIZ Award shows that the company's roots in Europe still run deep as well. Offering IPSP, DMA and Gateway services to many top brands and providing the security of working with multiple banks, CommerceGate said it is a powerful strategic partner for any U.S. or EU company seeking to grow while optimizing profitability.

“We aim to not only provide tools for state-of-the-art payment processing, but also to give our clients that extra personal touch, sharing our knowledge of the market in general and how to maximize conversion and revenue in particular," Skarlen said. "Our aim is to offer a service that truly adds value to our product, and we’re excited to see how well it is paying off, both for our clients and for CommerceGate."
