Rental Site MaleBoxDVD.com Acquires DeliverMale.com

LOS ANGELES — Gay adult DVD rental site MaleBoxDVD.com has bought DeliverMale.com as part of what the company says is an “aggressive growth strategy.”

With the takeover, DeliverMale’s customers will be rolled into MaleBoxDVD’s membership base and will be served by the company’s distribution centers on both coasts.

“This purchase is a great thing for existing and new members, as well as all the affiliates,” MaleBoxDVD founder Martha E. Flores said. “It gives us an opportunity to immediately double our premium titles from such studios as Falcon, Titan and Channel 1 Releasing.”

DeliverMale.com founder William Canu added, “With this purchase, MaleBoxDVD will be the No. 1 gay adult rental source. Customers will be getting a great deal for their dollar.”

However, MaleBoxDVD will not pick up DeliverMale’s entire inventory due to the company’s strong position as a supporter of safe sex-only adult titles. While the company will continue to offer condomless vintage titles, all modern bareback titles in DeliverMale’s library will be deactivated and will no longer be available.

“Before launching MaleBoxDVD.com, we knew we could not in good conscience promote unsafe sex on the site,” Flores said. “And no matter how big we get, the commitment to safe sex will always be a cornerstone of our philosophy.”

Launched in June 2005, MaleBoxDVD is powered by WantedList.com. The site has become known for innovative features, such as its “Dinner and a Movie” promotion, which paired adult movies with recipes from the films’ stars.

In its March issue, Cybersocket magazine called MaleBoxDVD “the finest porn DVD online rental site around, with a stunning selection of (spanking-new and vintage pre-condom) fuck films.”

MaleBoxDVD also sets aside a percentage of its revenues to be donated to HIV/AIDS service organizations around the country.
