Nomination Period for FSC Board of Directors Election Opens

CANOGA PARK, Calif. — The Free Speech Coalition has opened nominations for its 2012 Board of Directors election.

There are four board positions up for election out of 13 board seats.

Nominations are currently being accepted online through Dec. 1 and candidates will be announced Dec. 2, with the election taking place by email in December.  You must be an FSC member to make a nomination.

The nomination form includes a simple three-question form that includes the nominee name and contact information, as well as information from the submitting party. Candidates must be active FSC members.

The FSC also posted a link on its website, the FSC Blog and Facebook page if members would prefer to access the nomination form through those platforms.

Board members offer insight and shape trade group policy on a rainbow of issues facing the adult entertainment industry, including anti-piracy, .XXX, 2257, patent issues and performer health and safety.

"FSC has an active and vibrant board," FSC Executive Director Diane Duke told XBIZ. "We are looking for people who are willing to bring their knowledge, experience and influence to FSC for the betterment of our members and the adult entertainment industry as a whole."

Said FSC Membership Director Joanne Cachapero: “This is a great opportunity for members that would like to become more involved with the FSC to either be nominated, or vote in the upcoming election. Especially now, we need the support of all our members to help choose board members that will offer their insight in some of the challenges the industry faces."
