OWN Network TV Show Spotlights Amateur Webcam Porn

NEW YORK — Amateur webcam porn is the subject of investigative reporter Lisa Ling’s upcoming show on the OWN cable network.

According to a story in the New York Post, Ling’s season 2 premiere of “Our America” airing on Oct. 16 focuses on “Everyday people from legal and medical professionals to (yes) horny housewives are making homemade porn and sometimes making big bucks from it.”

Featured are married couples, young 20-somethings and Sierra, a 50 year-old grandmother, all of whom run webcam operations.

“Being on porn is like winning ‘American Idol,’” Sierra said.

The story claims that there are 24 million porn sites now available to the public.

“These folks make even bigger bucks with what they call “privates” — paid-for sex acts which a client can direct from his or her own home. Privates for their privates,” the Post said.

But the Post article also points out the darker side of Ling’s report, citing problems that could arise from webcam operations like how couples will explain their actions to their children.

The show will be broadcast on Oct. 16 at 10 p.m. ET on the Oprah Winfrey OWN network.
