New Google Tool Tracks Traffic in Real Time

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. — Google launched a new tool that will allow webmasters to track in real time how many people are currently on their site.

The new tool will allow website owners to see what content their audience is clicking on and use the data accordingly, WashingtonPost.com reported.

They will also be able to see how their traffic behaves when they promote content on social networking sites like Twitter or Facebook and be able to adjust their web strategies.

“We’re very excited to bring real time data to Google Analytics with the launch of Google Analytics Real-Time: a set of new reports that show what’s happening on your site as it happens,” the company said.

The company has also launched a new, premium tier of its analytics toolkit for those who want more power and more data.

The new tool will be available for users in the U.S., Canada and Britain.
