Veteran TV Executive Joins Waat Media as CEO

SHERMAN OAKS, Calif. — Waat Media has tapped veteran television executive Ian Aaron as its new CEO and president.

Waat Media works directly with mobile operators to provide subscription-based WAP sites, streaming and downloadable video content and MMS image and video content, as well as wallpapers, screensavers and games.

Aaron, a board member and advisor to the company for the past year, will oversee the Sherman Oaks, Calif.-based company’s sales and strategies.

Aaron will work with Waat founders Adi McAbian, Tal McAbian and Camill Sayadeh to manage the company’s content partnerships with adult, entertainment and gaming brands.

He also will oversee global distribution through on-deck carrier relationships and off-net third-party platforms.

Prior to joining Waat Media Aaron was president of the TV Guide Television Group, where he oversaw the TV Guide Channel, TV Guide Interactive, TV Guide’s new short form On Demand network TV Guide Spot and TV Guide International.

He also was CEO and president at TVN Entertainment and was president of SoftNet Systems.
