Audition Site for Armstrong's 'Rocky Horror Picture Show' Tribute Now Live

LOS ANGELES — Wicked Pictures announced that it has launched a special web page featuring audition materials for award-winning director Brad Armstrong’s upcoming parody "The Rocki Whore Picture Show."

Located at WickedPictures.com/rockiwhore, this online resource gives aspiring cast members the opportunity to become familiar with the production through character breakdowns and exclusive excerpts from the score and screenplay. Once interested parties over the age of 18 have determined the roles they wish to audition for, they can begin learning lines and even practice singing "Orgy" - the parody's answer to "The Time Warp."

Auditions will be held on the evenings of Nov. 9-10 and will be videotaped as part of a behind-the-scenes feature for the DVD release. Auditions can be scheduled directly through the site.

As he anticipates next week's auditions, Armstrong is quick to reveal that he is seeking more than mere RHPS lookalikes. “Obviously we're hoping for performers that look like the original cast members, but even more importantly, we’re looking for people that can mimic their mannerisms," Armstrong said. "Singing ability is preferred but it’s not mandatory. It’s more important that people have a flair for the dramatic and a willingness to let go and just have fun. I do have some people in mind for certain roles, but nothing has been set in stone. I’m hoping someone comes into the audition completely out of left field and blows me away. I’d love to cast some undiscovered performers alongside the more established actors.”

"The Rocki Whore Picture Show" initially captured the attention of the "Rocky Horror Picture Show" community when Armstrong, jessica drake, Kaylani Lei, Kirsten Price and Alektra Blue appeared at the Rocky Horror Picture Show 35th Anniversary Convention in September. Since then the show has remained in the pop culture limelight thanks to a star-studded tribute to the film at Los Angeles' Wiltern Theater that featured Jack Nicholson, Danny DeVito, Billy Idol, and Lea Michele of Fox Television's "Glee." Michele also appeared in Glee's own tribute to the movie, which saw the cast performing "The Time Warp" and other RHPS classics on Fox Television last week.
