eBare Celebrates One Year Anniversary

UNITED KINGDOM — The adult fetish auction site eBare.co.uk celebrated its first Internet birthday on Dec. 5.

Company representatives said eBare has grown steadily since its launch, gaining more than 2,000 new members in the past few months alone. The site is one of just a handful in the online auction arena that has been able to capitalize on the adult-related market, despite the fact that auction giant eBay bans the sale of such items on its own site.

eBare auction sellers are able to place a direct RSS feed from the eBare site into their own page and can choose from a number of customizable options, including showing only their own auctions, showing all featured auctions, particular categories or the most recent auctions.

eBare also offers a selection of individual themed stores and a members advertising program which can be controlled by the user.

On Dec. 1, eBare also announced the launch of its sister site, Flogshop.com. Flogshop offers sex toys and lingerie auctions, as well as other items, including sexy clothing and club wear, sexy boots and shoes, lotions and potions and gifts for under $20.

eBare officials said they would continue their advertising program for both sites during 2006 and added that additional site enhancements such as video chat and video clip upload for auctions are planned for the upcoming year.
