Micro Media Films Offers Xchip Distribution Platform

LOS ANGELES — Micro Media Films is setting out to revolutionize the way in which adult content is delivered to the consumer, with the launch of its proprietary Xchip media.

According to Micro Media Films CEO Alexander Dimopoulos, the Xchip delivers up to four hours of quality video on a microchip the size of a fingernail.

Called by its maker "the new DVD for mobile phones," the Xchip is primarily targeted to the 4 billion users of mobile devices; but the media will also work with USB-equipped laptop or desktop computers.

"The Xchip works on every mobile phone, PDA or Blackberry on the market today and also works on any PC or Mac with a USB sleeve," Dimopoulos said. "As a result, the high level of discretion provided by this type of content delivery will open up a brand new segment of the consumer market."

Dimopoulos told XBIZ that Micro Media Films is the sister company one of the largest mobile distributors in North America for GSM mobile phones and accessories; with warehouses in N.Y., Fla., Los Angeles and Chicago, that ship to more than 8,000 retailers and wholesalers worldwide.

"We believe with our technologies and experience of the mobile market and the valuable content we offer, that we could revolutionize the way content is delivered," he added.

The company plans to offer the MicroMedia Total Experience Package (TEP) shortly.

"Through the use of state-of-the-art LCD glasses with built in earphones, the user will literally be immersed in your company's content," Dimopoulos said. "When used in conjunction with the Xchip, the TEP will give the user an ultra realistic, ultra discrete viewing experience never seen before by the industry."

The company currently offers a number of titles through its adult site, XXXuniversal.com.

"In our industry it is important to continuously seek new avenues of content distribution and to penetrate new segments of the consumer market," Dimopoulos concluded. "Micro Media Films' proprietary content delivery system can help you be on the cutting edge of what is possible."
