Adult DVD Rental Program Review Site Launches

CYBERSPACE — Best-Adult-DVD-Rental.com, a site dedicated to rating adult DVD rental programs, has launched.

The site provides rankings, side-by-side comparisons and in-depth reviews of online adult DVD rental services providers.

“Each adult DVD rental provider markets similar services and features, but if you test out each provider, you will find major differences that affect the overall value of each plan,” Best-Adult-DVD-Rental.com’s Gary told XBIZ. “In our testing, we’ve found wide fluctuations in customer service, but the biggest factor is in the quality of each company’s rental library and how quickly they process orders and rental returns.”

Gary said that the turnaround time on receiving rentals makes a big difference and affects the average rental cost per movie when considering plans that offer unlimited rentals per month.

“Another important consideration for potential customers is the quantity and availability of new DVD releases,” he said. “We record and chart average rental queue time to gauge library quality and truthfulness in advertising — for example, we don’t think it’s fair to advertise popular DVD titles, but leave the queue listing ‘checked out’ for weeks or months because the rental company has too few copies on hand to adequately service its subscriber base.

“Other companies promote new movies, but don't let their rental plan members check out new movies for 30-plus days after the release — this is not only unfair, but it’s only disclosed in the fine print.”

The company’s review staff monitor the adult rental providers for at least a year and track the results, Gary said. Any changes or ranking updates will be made about once or twice each year, however the detailed reviews will be updated in real-time.

“We put these programs through rental ‘stress tests’ by renting out their most popular rental plans and then trying to max out each account by renting and then immediately returning the DVDs, then repeating this cycle for months on end,” Gary said. “We monitor and chart shipping performance on an ongoing basis and sample test customer service channels [email, online chat and telephone] at least once each month to ensure consistency of service.”

SugarDVD, URentDVDs, WantedList, XRentDVD and AdultDVDEmpire are currently reviewed on the site. Gary said the site currently is evaluating BushDVD and considering several others.

Currently SugarDVD is ranked as the best adult DVD rental provider. URentDVDs and WantedList are tied ranking No. 2, XRentDVD ranks fourth and AdultDVDEmpire is positioned in fifth place.

Best-Adult-DVD-Rental.com also offers tips on selecting the best rental provider, such as always testing the service with free trials and considering discretion in mailing and billing, among other offerings.
