Setting the Standard — ECN Brings OVO to U.S. Market

"Introducing the new standard.” By now, you’ve likely seen this statement at the top of the white, minimalist ads for OVO. The German manufacturer behind the OVO brand and products is not taking that statement lightly — significant development has gone into every aspect of the collection — from aesthetics to functionality to merchandising.

To back up that assertion, OVO has a stack of international design awards to show for it. To ensure “the new standard” is introduced properly to North America, OVO has teamed with industry leader East Coast News.

Everything about this brand has been very well thought out, the products are outstanding, the packaging is beautiful, and the merchandising options will be something our customers will go crazy for.

The initial OVO release consists of 36 pieces, each in a range of colors. The lineup includes pleasure rings, vibrators, love balls, mini-vibes, lay-ons, bullets and rabbits. All the products were conceived, designed and engineered in Germany with attention to detail, design and quality. Every item is also backed by OVO’s 15-year warranty, and is boxed in clean, white packaging that features a full-color photo of the included item.

Making history, every item in the collection has been honored with the prestigious red dot design award — the only company to receive the recognition on 36 occasions. Previous winners of this award include vacuums from Dyson and vehicles from Mercedes Benz. A monumental achievement for any manufacturer, the fact that it was done by a pleasure product manufacturer is something that everyone in the adult industry can be excited about.

OVO’s point-of-purchase displays also have been honored with international design awards. The pleasure ring counter display received the VISCOM Bronze Medal in the international exhibition — high quality category. The five-tier modular wall display showcases more than 100 items and 24 fully-functional tester units — all of which are included with the display. There is even a built-in, 14” HD monitor to play the accompanying product videos.

“Everything about this brand has been very well thought out,” East Coast News Sales Manager Alan Mandell said. “The products are outstanding, the packaging is beautiful, and the merchandising options will be something our customers will go crazy for. It’s very exciting to be introducing the OVO brand to the market.”

As the nation’s largest adult distributor, East Coast News is equipped to back up the anticipated demand for the OVO line. “We are stocking OVO displays and products at each of our three nationwide warehouses,” Mandell continued. “Representatives from OVO have met with and trained our entire sales team. ECN is 100 percent ready for this launch.”

OVO will be making its public debut at the Las Vegas International Lingerie Show this month, where it will have its own dedicated booth. The entire collection of pleasure products will be on hand, along with the available display units.

The complete OVO lineup is available now from East Coast News.

How AI-Powered Loss Prevention Can Help Your Store

Years ago, I was deeply involved in upgrading the security camera system at a store in Hawaii. The process took several months. We provided store diagrams, mapped out camera lines of sight, waited for quotes, then coordinated with a contractor to install everything. It cost thousands — and by the time I left that position, the system still wasn’t fully operational.
